Charlotte is a diverse business market and a major hub in the Southeast. There’s a unique mix of large corporate headquarters to local, family-owned businesses in the area. We’re proud to have started our Veteran-owned small business in this amazing city to support our fellow businesses in the city.

Owner Eric Capers has been in the manufacturing, general contracting, and construction equipment rental industries in and around North Carolina and the Southeast for years. Like many others, he couldn’t believe what he was witnessing the first time he saw a Smash My Trash truck. Looking into the business, he drove all around the greater Charlotte area and it became evident the potential impact possible helping Charlotte area businesses save money. Adding a waste compaction service to the area means fewer trucks on the road and a smaller environmental impact for businesses. OUR TEAM

Eric and Adrienne Capers

Owner

Eric and Adrienne started their first Smash My Trash in Atlanta in mid-2020 during the pandemic. After their success in Atlanta, the opportunity to expand to the Charlotte area became reality. They now happily serve a portion of the Southeast region.

Eric graduated from The United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996 and spent 8 years as Officer in the Army. His last assignment was during Iraqi Freedom where he commanded a UH-60 Blackhawk Company earning a Bronze Star Medal and Air Medal for his leadership in combat.

Adrienne graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and has been in the medical/fitness industry for 25+ years.

Eric has held many different leadership roles until leaving the corporate world to run Smash My Trash full-time with his wife, Adrienne, who grew up in Atlanta.

Eric and Adrienne have two teenage sons, Mason and Blake.
