Derek grew up locally in Palmyra, attended Penn State and spent over 25 years in the corporate world. He is an active member of the Elizabethtown Public Library Board of Directors and a Penn State Smeal Business School Mentor. In his free time, you can find Derek out in the community with his wife and two children, usually doing something fun in nature and enjoying the outdoors.

Why did you decide to open a Smash My Trash franchise in this location?

I wanted to find a business that could help those in South Central Pennsylvania save money and at the same time help the environment.
