Smash My Trash is a small, growing family. We have spent the past few years developing strong relationships with all of our new partners across the country and spending time getting to know new friends. On April 25th, owner Tom Radcliff passed away surrounded by family and friends after a year-long battle with ALS. Tom and his brother Steve Radcliff spent the past year building the Smash My Trash brand in the St Louis area. Tom is survived by his wife, Erin, and three children, Maddie, Hillary, and Will.
After being diagnosed with ALS last May, Tom pursued every avenue to find a cure for ALS in hopes of helping others, a true testament to his character. To help continue Tom’s efforts, work towards improving the community, and finding a cure to ALS here are three organizations that you can make a donation to in his memory:
- The BackStoppers, Inc – dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty.
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- EverythingALS – committed to support efforts to care for ALS patients as well as to apply patient-centric technology and AI to accelerate research for biomarkers, treatments, and a cure.
