The idea of smashing trash was unique and no one else was offering the service at the time. Having a Smash My Trash franchise would allow us the opportunity to build a business and provide excellent customer service in an industry not known for being service oriented.

Being located in the N.E. Georgia area, we are seeing more and more companies moving out of the metro Atlanta area due to the traffic and congestion. With I-85 in the middle of our service area, we have a major interstate for moving goods up and down the east coast and throughout the southeast. The area provides plenty of open spaces for large distribution centers and manufacturing sites along with an eager workforce, have made this region an attractive area for businesses to relocate or plant roots for their operations.

Valorie Gutzman

Co-Owner / CEO

After graduating from GSU with a BBA in Accounting, Valorie went on to earn her CPA. Valorie has worked for several small and mid-sized companies across many industries such as home construction, property management and franchising in roles such as controller & CFO. One of her recent positions was for another franchise company within the fitness arena where she served as the CFO.

David Gutzman

Co-Owner / COO

Formerly, David was a National Director of Operations for a $3 billion-dollar national staffing provider, Staff Management/TrueBlue. David’s 25 years of experience staffing within the light industrial arena, provided him with great insight into many of waste challenges facing our customers. David and Valorie met while attending Georgia State University where they earned their BBA’s.

Josh Litton

Driver

Josh came to us as an experienced forklift driver working for several different facilities. Additionally, Josh was a driver for a moving company. His main hobby is doing freelance photography including working with drones.
