Jamie McNaughton

Owner

Jamie’s involvement in Smash My Trash is no surprise! She thrives in businesses with purpose that solve problems, save time, money and respect the environment. For 37 years Jamie served as Vice President in the Global Product Development company she Co-Founded with her brother and created the “Product to Retail Mastery Course” helping inventors bring their products to retail.

Jamie is a former Chamber of Commerce President and served on several non-profit boards, including a Mediation Program and Women’s Shelter. She supports youth & college business groups speaking on leadership & life. Jamie danced for 7 years with the Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders.

Greg Erickson

Owner

Greg is former owner of Erickson’s Diversified Corporation, a Wisconsin based grocery and pharmacy chain. He was Erickson’s legal counsel and Director of Sustainability for their 19 stores prior to their sale in 1999. Greg has his Law Degree and Masters of Investment Analysis/Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is real estate & property manager, tri-athlete and avid environmentalist. Greg is an active supporter of Fresh Energy – a St Paul, clean energy non-profit and Co-founder & member of the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust. He loves spending time in the outdoors with his family.

Jeremy Karl

Smash Technician

With a background in entertainment and media, Jeremy is an equipment guru driving and operating large media trucks for national TV networks. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism/Criminal Justice from UW-River Falls. Jeremy understands the importance of exceptional maintenance, safety, and service. He is a friendly, exceptional Smash Technician who knows our equipment inside and out. Through his experience, he has learned and developed many techniques to get the most compaction out of a container! When he isn’t out Smashing, Jeremy is the drummer in the band Pop Syndrome and an avid motorcyclist.

Hunter Erickson

Account Manager

A love for mechanics attracted Hunter to our trucks but his greatest gift is his fun and friendly manner helping our customers save money. He loves calculating compaction rates and showing our customers how we are saving them money and time. He is committed to our customer’s success and making sure they are getting the results they need. Hunter was a STEM student in high school, is completing his Mechanical Engineering Degree at the University of Minnesota and plays on the Men’s Volleyball team. He is also an assistant coach to the girl’s volleyball team at Mounds Park Academy High School.

Betshaida Larsen

Customer Service & Accounting

After working for a large corporate retailer, Betshaida wanted to focus her work in small business where she could create a connection with people on a more personal scale. She provides a warm, welcoming environment in all she does offering exceptional service and making a positive difference in any way she can. If something is not right, Betshaida will find a way to resolve the issue…with a smile! She is also an exceptional quilter keeping others warm with her beautiful creations!

Lisa Rydland

Administrative Assistant / Marketing

Lisa has a strong background in global project management and business development. Her organizational skills, “Can Do” attitude, creativity and fun personality make a tremendous contribution to our team. She has her Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Lisa’s favorite get-way is visiting Lake Vermilion in northern MN and being active with her family.
